Q. Are there concessions for children or seniors?
A. The membership price is a set fee regardless of the member
Q. Is there a payment program I can enter into?
A. Yes. Our membership team would be happy to discuss suitable payment options with you
Q. Can I re-sell my memberships?
A. No, memberships are not able to be resold. That said memberships are fully transferable and can be used by anyone you designate.
Membership
Q. Are family or group memberships available?
A. All memberships are sold on an individual basis. As we are notified, we will endeavour to allocate seats together
Q. Can I choose my own seat?
A. You may nominate a preferred seating selection. We will endeavour to allocate seating per your request or as close as possible.
Q. How many people can I transfer my membership to?
A. One membership entitles one person to a reserved seat in the Mark Taylor Club. This may be given to any person at your discretion to use at any stage of a match. For example, a membership can be used by a different person every day, or indeed for every session of a day’s play!
Q. Are there any reciprocal membership benefits?
A. At this stage all member benefits only apply to matches in NSW
Q. Is there a dress code?
A. Yes, a dress code does apply to the Mark Taylor Club. The following dress code rules apply:
Males: Neat casual attire – shirt with collar, dress shorts / trousers and closed shoes. (No Tshirts, thongs, sandals or bare feet)
Females: Neat casual attire with shoes (no thongs, bare feet or revealing attire)
Food and Beverages
Q. What type of catering options will be available?
A. Sit down dining is available for every international match for up to 200 guests. Bookings must be made for sit down dining, direct with the caterer. Menus and booking forms will be sent to all members prior to the season. Bookings will be taken on a first in basis.
A dedicated snack bar will also be available for Mark Taylor Club members, serving more casual gourmet lunch and dinner options as well as snacks throughout the day.
A dedicated bar will also service the Mark Taylor Club – accessible only by members and guests.
Q. Is any catering included in the membership?
A. No, all food and beverages are an additional cost.
Other questions
Q. Does membership give access to Swans, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Soccer, Concerts etc also held at the SCG?
A. No, this is a Cricket NSW membership and only provides access to International and domestic cricket fixtures in NSW hosted by Cricket NSW.
Q. Can I use my membership at other venues such as North Sydney Oval, Sydney Olympic Park etc?
A. Yes, your membership can be used at all Cricket matches played in NSW under the control of Cricket NSW. For a full list of matches please refer to the Fixtures Included section of this web site.
Q. Can I access the SCG Members area to visit friends in that section of the ground?
A. No, access to the SCG Members area is only available to people with a valid SCG Member’s card or guest card.
Q. How is this different to an SCG Membership?
A. There is no waiting list for the Mark Taylor Club – memberships are sold on a first in basis. The Mark Taylor Club guarantees each member their own pre-allocated seat for the duration of their membership meaning no queuing for access to the ground or fighting for a seat. The Mark Taylor Club membership gives you entry to all cricket matches in NSW.
Q. What happens for days that are washed out? Do I get a refund?
A. The Mark Taylor Club accepts no responsibility if a major cricket match or any other NSW match is abandoned, postponed, delayed or shortened for whatever reason including days that may be washed out.
Q. Is parking available for Mark Taylor Club Members?
A. Yes, limited reserved parking is available at a nominal fee. Members will need to pre-book parking.
Q. Where does money from the sale of Memberships go to?
A. All funds go back to Cricket NSW, apart from a management fee that is paid to Insite Organisation and SEL for administering and promoting the membership.
Q. Can I smoke?
A. Smoking is not permitted in seating areas, bars or restaurants as specified by the SCG Trust. There are designated smoking areas.
